# Features

Checkin has the following features to encourge more social interactions and ways to discover new places that others have checked into.

### City/Country/Category Channels

Channels featuring checkins from a specific geography or category (e.g. Tokyo, Japan, US, cafes etc.) will aggregate checkins from the respective categories aggregated here. Use the channels to discover great new places - whether to explore your city, or find great cafes!

### Leaderboards

A monthly leaderboard can also be found under the channels displaying the user profiles based on points ranking for the month.

### Mayor Badges

Every month we will give Mayor Badges to users who are the most active in their respective channels (city, country, category channels etc.) for the month.  We'll be airdropping a special NFT to signal they're the mayor for that month...and they may get some special goodies 👀
